On Sunday, March 29, 2009, Concord Community TV, a nonprofit organization that is located in Concord High School, will cablecast, on its Public Access Channel 22 and Education Channel 6, a live, 12-hour display of the many talented individuals and organiztions that make up our "creative community."

The Telefest, which will be cablecast from 9:00am to 9:00pm, will feature the following:

  • performance arts: music, dance, and theatre
  • literature: readings from local poets, authors, and playwrights
  • visual arts: paintings, pottery, sculpture, etc.
  • traditional arts: storytelling, quilting, folk music, etc.
  • filmaking

The Telefest is a mix of "live" and pre-taped artists' interviews and exhibits/performances of their works. Each artist will be featured for 8 to 10 minutes at a specific time during the day-long event, and will be publicized as a participating artist. Their affliation with an arts organization or business that supports their art will also be featured during the Telefest.

Concord Community TV is producing the Arts Telefest for several reasons, including:

  • To develop community arts programming on local television.
  • To enrich partnerships between those organizations and businesses who promote the arts in Concord.
  • To establish as sustainable, annual fundraiser.

For more information or to be a part of the Arts Telefest contact Concord TV at 226-8872 or doris@yourconcordtv.org.

DC Designs wanted a web site that was slick and professional. They wanted to incorporate the Concord Clock into the design of the site, J Maze Design came up with a look that subtly showcased their featured project without over whelming the visitor. The end result is a site that works well for both DC Designs and the visitor.
